English Composition and Literature at the Borough of Manhattan Community College
Nita Noveno teaches English Composition and Literature at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. She also taught, mentored, and consulted in NYC public schools for fifteen years. She is the founder, curator, and co-host of Sunday Salon, a monthly prose reading series in NYC, which features emerging and established writers, and is the creator/co-editor of SalonZine. A graduate of the New School MFA Creative Writing Program, Nita has been published in Kweli, The MacGuffin, Ducts.org, and the Best Of Ducts Anthology. Her book-in-progress, Mud on the Moon, is based on real-life events of her father’s journey from his native Philippines to the strange, beautiful landscape of post-Depression America. Originally from Southeast Alaska, she calls Queens, New York home.
